Urban Portraits Dumfries project is launched!

On August 5 2014 I sent out an open call via Facebook , Twitter and Google+ for volunteer models that would like to take part in a new photography project called URBAN PORTRAITS DUMFRIES.

The project aims to create collaborative portraits of Doonhamers in various Dumfries town centre locations where the town itself is treated as as both historical and ephemeral urban canvas, a vast set of impressions, colours, textures, frames and shapes.

Volunteers’s effort and time are rewarded with high resolution files to keep, share and print. We are looking for 1hr – 1.5hrs participation time for photographs accompanied by personal micro stories and interviews, historical trivia or family history snippets. Suggestions for locations, props and activities are welcome.

You can read more about the URBAN PORTRAITS DUMFRIES project, subscribe to follow its progress and schedule your portraits session here. If you think your friends and family may want to participate as well, please share!
