Dumfries Music Conference has turned into one of the main music industry events for young Dumfries and Galloway performers, with workshops, live music opportunities, an exhibition, special invited guests and of course Radio DMC.

This is the second time Radio DMC live broadcast showcasing young local music talent was run during the conference. I dropped in at Lunch time to the Stove Cafe to have a look at the exhibition of gig posters “Live in Dumfries” D&G designer Neil Paterson. It turned out the poster exhibition became a backdrop for Radio DMC. I decided to stay and listen how Melissa Gunn (of Smalltown Sounds, of Thursday Night Showcase on Alive Radio) interviewed several Dumfries and Galloway bands about their work and forthcoming gigs, as well as enjoyed some really good live music performances.

Meanwhile, I also took a few behind the scenes snaps of Melissa, the interviewees and other people who made this event run smoothly.
