Here’s a funny little series of Dumfries street photographs I took while in the town centre doing some location recce for my Urban Portraits Dumfries project.
I was looking for places, textures and colours that would look good in the hash afternoon light. As I walking along English street I noticed the promising metal patterned roller shutter of the closed “dental laboratory” and a stretch of a grey wooden wall.
There was a woman calling someone hidden by the passing red car. It turned out to be a small black pug that stood still and refused to walk, so he had to be scooped up by the owner and carried away.
By the way the two interacted it was obvious that the crafty animal was quite practised at this trick and used to hitching a ride!
I was on the other side of the busy road and couldn’t come closer but loved the colour contrast of the reds and the greys and the little dog was a star!
