Another page has been turned in our Dumfries diaries as we attended the Whitesands Fair last weekend. John had to pick up a parcel in the town centre and I tagged along to have a look at the rides near the river Nith – briefly – as it was overcast (again) and about to spit.

We walked past Devorgilla Bridge, quite restrained and quiet in comparison with the outburst of bright colours and screaming noises introduced to Whitesands by the fair rides. It was fun to see animated faces of the little visitors.

Lots of kids, lots of laughter, lots of excitement. A very enjoyable afternoon!
