Editing some photos from the Saturday’s portrait shoot with Monica. Started from the end (just because…)

Most of her session was quite urban, but I always wanted to take a portrait of an Indian girl, head covered with traditional scarf. After all, we are in Birmingham! I saw so many beautiful girls in Indian outfits during Ratha Yatra festival here.

When Monica messaged me some of her pictures via Facebook, I liked this dress with a matching yellow stole – a present from her brother – and I visualised her in a portrait just like this. It’s uncanny! We were shooting away, and at the very end of the portrait photography session we found this green distressed wall that worked with yellows and purples. Monica kindly agreed to pose for this series of headshots.

As usual, more is coming up!
